Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan Sues Senator Nwaebonyi for N5 Billion Defamation Over Allegations
Suspended Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, representing Kogi Central, has filed a defamation lawsuit seeking N5 billion in damages against Senator Onyekachi Nwaebonyi.
She claims that Nwaebonyi falsely accused her of having six children by different men, which she argues was a malicious attempt to tarnish her reputation.
In the suit, filed at the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Akpoti-Uduaghan's counsel, SAN M.J. Numa, states that Nwaebonyi's comments, made during an interview on Channels TV's Sunrise Daily on March 6, 2025, were deeply damaging. Nwaebonyi allegedly referred to Akpoti-Uduaghan as a "gold digger," "habitual liar," and "blackmailer," and claimed that her marriage to her husband, Chief Emmanuel Uduaghan, was under duress.
