NAFDAC Uncovers Outlet Dealing in Sales of Adulterated and Expired Drinks Worth Over N114M
The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has uncovered a dangerous operation involved in the sale of counterfeit and expired alcoholic beverages in Lagos.
A suspect, Mr. Madu Abuchi Simon, was caught red-handed while falsifying well-known alcohol brands, including Hennessy, William Lawson, Baileys, Martell, St. Remy, and Jameson.
A search of the premises revealed disturbing findings, including expired Amarula cream liquor, empty branded bottles, cartons, stickers, stoves, buckets, cotton wool, and a purple-colored chemical believed to be used for cleaning and reusing bottles. Although Simon attempted to flee, he was apprehended by NAFDAC officials.
