NAFDAC Raises Alarm Over Fake and Expired Drugs in Onitsha Market

Martins Iluyomade, the South-East Zonal Director of the National Agency for Food, Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), has expressed grave concerns regarding the widespread manufacture and sale of fake and expired drugs in the notorious "Ogbo Ogu Market," also known as the "Head-bridge Drug Market" in Onitsha, Anambra State.

Iluyomade's alarm follows a raid conducted early Monday morning around 4 AM, during which he and his team, accompanied by heavily armed security operatives from the military and the Nigeria Police Force, inspected the market.
