NAFDAC Destroys Fake Drugs and Unsafe Cosmetics Worth ₦4.7 Billion in Port Harcourt

The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has successfully destroyed counterfeit pharmaceutical products, unwholesome processed foods, and unsafe cosmetics valued at ₦4.7 billion in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. 

This operation, conducted in collaboration with the Nigerian Customs Service, marks the first joint zonal product destruction exercise in the South-South region.

Prof. Christiana Adeyeye, NAFDAC's Director-General, represented by South-South Zonal Director Chukwuma Olugbo, revealed that the agency uncovered several warehouses in Port Harcourt stocked with expired alcoholic beverages that had been revalidated and reintroduced into the market
