66-Year-Old Man Sentenced to 5 Years in Prison for Human Trafficking in Yobe

The National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) has successfully secured the conviction of 66-year-old Ibrahim Musa for human trafficking in Yobe State.

 According to a statement on NAPTIP's verified Facebook page, Musa was found guilty of procuring and exploiting a 14-year-old female victim.

Musa was arraigned before the Yobe State High Court II in Damaturu, under the supervision of Hon. Justice Lawu Lawan. His actions violated Sections 13 and 16(1) of the Trafficking in Persons (Prohibition) Enforcement and Administration Act, 2015.
