Madagascar’s President Rajoelina Gives Himself One Year to Fix Crisis
Madagascar’s President Andry Rajoelina has pledged to solve the country’s pressing problems within one year, declaring that he will step down if he fails to deliver.
In an emotional appeal to supporters, Rajoelina urged honesty over praise:
> “I don’t want flattery. I want the truth. Those who kept insisting everything was fine are partly to blame for where we are today,” he said.
