Lagos State Begins Demolition of Properties in Megamond, Oral, and Lekki County Estates to Combat Flooding

The Lagos State Government has officially started demolishing certain properties in Megamond Estate, Oral Estate, and Lekki County, all located along the Ikota River alignment. 

The move follows the expiration of notices served to property owners, as part of efforts to mitigate flooding in the area.

Tokunbo Wahab, the Lagos State Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, confirmed the commencement of the demolition through his official social media account on Friday, May 9.
