Labour Party Regrets Choosing Peter Obi as 2023 Presidential Candidate
– Factional Spokesman
A factional spokesperson of the Labour Party (LP), Abayomi Arabambi, has described the party’s decision to field Peter Obi as its presidential candidate in the 2023 general election as a political blunder with long term consequences.
Speaking during a press briefing in Abeokuta on Friday, Arabambi criticized the leadership of the party for picking Obi over Faduri Joseph, a U.S. licensed nurse and entrepreneur.
He claimed that Faduri, who also vied for the ticket, would have demonstrated a more effective and inclusive approach to governance if elected.
“We now know it was a huge mistake to have chosen Peter Obi. We had a far more suitable and visionary candidate in Faduri Joseph, who understands global governance standards and has cross-industry experience,” Arabambi stated.
