Kemi Badenoch Faces Scrutiny Within Conservative Party Amidst Poll Decline

Kemi Badenoch, the leader of the United Kingdom's Conservative Party, is facing increasing pressure from within her party as poll ratings continue to dip ahead of next week's local elections. 

The Tories are expected to lose a significant number of seats, with many MPs expressing concerns over Badenoch’s leadership.

More than two dozen Conservative MPs have voiced their discontent, stating that Badenoch is not the right person to lead the party into the next general election, which is scheduled for mid-2029.

 Critics argue that her leadership has been marked by a focus on cultural and conservative issues, such as opposing "left-wing nonsense" and identity politics, instead of addressing the immediate concerns of voters.
