Dubai Approves Jebel Ali Beach Project
Dubai has greenlit the development of Jebel Ali Beach, set to become the city's longest public shoreline, stretching across 6.6 kilometers.
Covering an expansive 330 hectares, the project will feature five kilometers of pristine sand, a 1.6-kilometer mangrove walk, dive spots, kids' zones, and a turtle rehabilitation sanctuary where visitors can witness rescues in action.
Sheikh Hamdan emphasized that this project marks the first phase of an initiative to increase the city’s public beach spaces by 400%.
The development is part of a larger vision that includes the expansion of Dubai’s Metro to 140 stations by 2040 and a massive $34.9 billion upgrade to Al Maktoum Airport, which is expected to handle 260 million travelers.
