Kaduna Man Sentenced for Online Scam Involving Fake Musician Profile
A Kaduna State High Court, presided over by Justice Amina Bello, has sentenced Zeal Abraham to two years in prison for internet fraud involving impersonation and cheating.
The conviction followed a one-count charge filed by the Kaduna Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
According to the EFCC, Abraham posed as "Chris Mitchell," a fictitious musician on the social media app 'Zangi,' and defrauded a woman named Laura Moss of $200. The act violated Section 308 of the Kaduna Penal Code Law of 2017 and is punishable under Section 309.
