Kaduna Governor Uba Sani Launches Dry Season Agricultural Empowerment Program

The Governor of Kaduna State, Uba Sani, has officially launched the Dry Season Agricultural Empowerment Program, an initiative aimed at boosting year-round farming across the state.

Speaking at the unveiling ceremony held at Murtala Square on Sunday, Governor Sani highlighted that the program is designed to support farmers with essential tools and resources to enhance agricultural productivity, especially during the dry season.

100,000 bags of fertilizers to improve soil fertility.

500 power tillers to aid smallholder farmers in land preparation.

2,000 knapsack sprayers for effective pest and disease control.

10,000 water pumps, including solar-powered units, to support irrigation and ensure continuous farming.

100 residue crushers and 50 fodder choppers to improve livestock feed processing.

Governor Sani described the initiative as a “game-changer” for the state’s agricultural sector, ensuring that farmers can remain productive throughout the year.
