Journalist Bukola Agbakaizu Dies Suddenly on Duty in Abeokuta

The Ogun State media community is mourning the tragic loss of veteran broadcast journalist Bukola Agbakaizu, who passed away on Monday while on duty at the Ogun State Television (OGTV) station in Abeokuta.

Agbakaizu, aged 52, reportedly collapsed while preparing for her afternoon shift. Despite immediate efforts to resuscitate her, she was declared dead on arrival at the Federal Medical Centre.

Her death was confirmed in a statement by Mr. Bunmi Adigun, Secretary of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Ogun State Council, who described her as a passionate and dedicated professional.
