Israel Confirms Air Strikes on Houthi Military Targets in Yemen

Israel has confirmed that it conducted air strikes targeting what it describes as "military targets" belonging to the Houthi rebels in Yemen.

 The strikes reportedly hit several locations, including Yemen's international airport in the capital, Sanaa, two power stations, and various ports.

The Israeli military stated that the Houthis have "repeatedly attacked" Israel, asserting that the targeted sites were used by the group to "smuggle Iranian weapons" into the region and facilitate the entry of Iranian officials.

The Houthis, an armed political and religious group backed by Iran, control significant portions of Yemen and have been involved in ongoing conflicts both domestically and regionally.
