INEC Denies Endorsing Any Faction Amid Labour Party Leadership Crisis

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has clarified that it has not yet made any official ruling regarding the leadership tussle within the Labour Party (LP), refuting media reports that suggested otherwise.

In a statement released by Rotimi Oyekanmi, Chief Press Secretary to the INEC Chairman, the Commission dismissed claims that it had recognized specific individuals as the National Chairman and National Secretary of the LP. 

The statement also addressed rumors concerning the People's Democratic Party (PDP), stressing that no updates have been made to the status of any party official on INEC’s platform.
