IGP Deploys Combat-Ready Police Units Nationwide
In response to the recent surge in violent attacks across several states, Nigeria’s Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, has directed the immediate deployment of a special police squad to bolster security efforts nationwide.
During a high-level meeting with Squadron Commanders in Abuja on Tuesday, the IGP ordered every Police Mobile Force (PMF) squadron to maintain at least one fully equipped, combat-ready unit on permanent standby.
