I Go Save Defends Gospel Musicians Charging Churches for Performances
Popular comedian I Go Save has weighed in on the debate surrounding gospel musicians charging churches for performances. In a recent statement, he argued that only pastors who have actively invested in and promoted gospel artists have the right to complain about their fees.
Using Pastor Chris Oyakhilome as an example, I Go Save pointed out that the cleric has personally invested in several gospel musicians, helping them achieve international recognition. He criticized pastors who expect established gospel artists to perform for free without having contributed to their growth.
"Other pastors should promote and invest in the talents in their churches rather than looking for already blown gospel acts made by others to promote their churches for free," he wrote.
