Wike Revokes PDP’s New Secretariat Land Over Unpaid Dues

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has revoked the land allocated to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for its new National Secretariat in Abuja.

The revocation, confirmed in a letter signed by the Director of Land Administration, Chijoke Nwankwoeze, cited PDP’s failure to pay annual ground rent for 20 years, from January 1, 2006, to January 1, 2025.

The letter, dated March 13, 2025, and addressed to PDP’s National Chairman, stated that the decision was made under the powers granted to the Minister by the Land Use Act.
