Gov Radda Spends Over N3 Billion on Just 8 Boreholes in Katsina LG

Katsina State Governor, Dikko Radda, has come under public scrutiny after commissioning eight borehole-based water supply projects in Katsina Local Government Area at a total cost of N3.08 billion.

The inauguration, held as part of activities marking the governor’s second year in office, was touted as a step toward providing clean and reliable water to local communities. 

Governor Radda described the project as a fulfillment of his campaign promise and a testament to his administration’s commitment to improving water access.

However, the project’s hefty price tag has raised eyebrows, with many questioning the justification behind spending over N3 billion on only eight boreholes. Critics have pointed to the high cost per project, calling for greater transparency in contract awarding and budget execution.
