Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo Speaks on Peter Obi’s Northern Prospects

Senior pastor and Christian leader Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo has shared his views on the political prospects of former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi, particularly in Nigeria’s core Northern states.

According to Ashimolowo, Obi faces a steep challenge in the region, noting: “The chance of Peter Obi getting 5% in 12 core Northern states will be a miracle because Nigeria has not healed.”

While expressing skepticism about the electoral numbers, the cleric was quick to commend Obi’s personal qualities and track record. He described him as “a fantastic man” and “a gifted man,” adding that Obi has proven his capacity to perform and achieve in leadership roles.
