Google Maps Renames Gulf of Mexico to Gulf of America for U.S. Users

Google Maps users in the U.S. will now see the body of water previously known as the "Gulf of Mexico" labeled as the "Gulf of America." 

This change follows a directive from President Trump on January 20, his first day in office, which aimed to officially rename the gulf to include America's name.

Users in Mexico will continue to see "Gulf of Mexico," while those in other parts of the world will see both names displayed as "Gulf of Mexico (Gulf of America)."
