Former Justice Minister Abubakar Malami Quits APC, Joins ADC to "Rescue Nigeria"

Abubakar Malami, former Minister of Justice and Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), has officially ended his membership with the All Progressives Congress (APC) and joined the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

In a personally signed letter, Malami explained that his defection was not driven by personal ambition or bitterness. 

Instead, he said his decision was fueled by a sincere desire to contribute to the country's progress and to address the daily struggles faced by ordinary Nigerians.

Speaking in his statement, Malami said:
“After careful consideration and consultations, I have decided to resign from the APC and align with the ADC, a party that reflects the values and vision required to steer our country away from its current challenges.

“My decision is not based on frustration or personal gain but on my deep love for Nigeria and concern for the suffering of our people. The level of insecurity has become unbearable, especially in the North, where terrorism, kidnapping, and banditry have sadly become a norm, while the government remains distracted by political games.
