Former Governor Lamido Cautions Tinubu Against Authoritarian Tactics
Former Jigawa State Governor Sule Lamido has issued a stern warning to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, cautioning that the use of federal agencies to suppress opposition parties could lead to the downfall of his presidency.
In a statement made in Birnin Kudu, after his election as a national delegate for the upcoming Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) congress, Lamido criticized the alleged politicization of government institutions.
He argued that using state agencies to target political adversaries damages the presidency’s image and could destabilize the government.
