FG, States, and LGs Share ₦1.703 Trillion from January 2025 Federation Account

The sum of ₦1.703 trillion has been disbursed among the Federal Government, state governments, and local government councils, representing revenue collected in January 2025.

This was disclosed in a statement on Thursday by Bawa Mokwa, the Director of Press and Public Relations at the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation.

According to the statement, the Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) met in Abuja on Thursday to finalize the revenue distribution process.

Breaking down the figures, the FAAC report confirmed that the total revenue for the month stood at ₦1.703 trillion, drawn from various sources — including ₦749.727 billion in statutory revenue and ₦718.781 billion generated through Value Added Tax (VAT) collections.

The statement further disclosed that gross revenue for January 2025 hit ₦2.641 trillion, marking a significant inflow for the period under review.
