FG Declares May 1 as Public Holiday for Workers' Day Celebration

The Federal Government has officially declared Thursday, May 1, 2025, as a public holiday to mark this year's Workers' Day. 

The announcement was made by the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, who emphasized the critical role of peace in driving industrialization and economic growth.

In a statement released by the ministry's Permanent Secretary, Dr. Magdalene Ajani, the Minister commended Nigerian workers for their hard work, dedication, and sacrifices, noting that their contributions are key to the nation's development.
