Female Leader of International Trafficking Ring Arrested at Abuja Airport
Christy Gold, a notorious figure on NAPTIP's (National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons) wanted list, has been apprehended at Abuja Airport after arriving from Dubai on December 31, 2024, to celebrate the New Year.
Known for her role in trafficking young girls to Dubai for forced prostitution, Gold had evaded capture for five years.
Originally named Christiana Uadiale Jacob, she was arrested in October 2020 in the Ikpoba Hill area of Benin City for her involvement in this illicit operation.
Following her arrest, she violated the terms of her bail and fled to Dubai, where she remained until her recent return to Nigeria.
