ESPN Parts Ways with Shannon Sharpe 

ESPN has officially severed ties with Shannon Sharpe, following the resolution of a civil lawsuit that accused him of rape and sexual assault.

 The lawsuit, filed in April by a woman identified as "Jane Doe," was dismissed on July 19, 2025 after both parties reached a confidential settlement.

 Reports indicate that ESPN opted to quietly finalize the split after the legal settlement was confirmed  .

Sharpe had first joined the network in August 2023 and became a regular presence on the highly rated debate show First Take.
