Desmond Elliot Shares Near-Death Experience During #EndSARS Protest

Actor-turned-politician, Desmond Elliot, has recounted a terrifying moment during the #EndSARS protests in October 2020, when his office in Surulere was nearly set on fire while he was inside.

The #EndSARS movement, which aimed to end police brutality and disband the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), led to widespread demonstrations across Nigeria. At the time, Elliot faced significant backlash after a video surfaced where he criticized the protesters while speaking at the Lagos State House of Assembly.

In a recent interview with Nollywood On Radio, Elliot described how, during the curfew imposed amid the protests, he found himself stranded in Lekki, unable to return home. He decided to spend the night at his office in Surulere. While watching TV, he remained unaware of the looming danger.
