Three Rescued, Others Trapped as Building Collapses in Mushin, Lagos

A two-storey building under construction collapsed on Sunday afternoon in the Mushin area of Lagos, leaving several people trapped and three rescued so far.

The structure, located on Ishaga Road opposite the Central Mosque in Idi Araba, caved in around 3:50 p.m., according to the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA).

NEMA’s Lagos Territorial Coordinator, Ibrahim Farinloye, confirmed that two victims were rescued and taken to the hospital shortly after the collapse, with a third person rescued by 6:35 p.m. Search and rescue operations are ongoing as responders work to locate any remaining individuals beneath the rubble.
