Court Orders Arrest of INEC Chairman Mahmood Yakubu
Justice Adefunmilola Demi Ajayi of the Federal High Court in Osogbo, Osun State, has issued an order for the arrest and imprisonment of Professor Mahmood Yakubu, Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), over alleged disobedience of a court judgment.
The judge ruled that Yakubu’s failure to comply with the court’s earlier directives constitutes contempt of court, warranting immediate enforcement action.
