China Imposes 34% Tariffs on All U.S. Imports, Files WTO Complaint
China has announced that starting April 10th, it will impose a 34% tariff on all American imports, matching the U.S. "reciprocal" tariff on Chinese exports recently ordered by former President Trump.
The Chinese Commerce Ministry also revealed plans to tighten export controls on rare earths, key materials used in advanced technology like computer chips and electric vehicle batteries.
Additionally, China’s customs authority has suspended imports of chicken from certain U.S. suppliers after detecting the banned drug furazolidone in shipments.
