Buhari Supporter Urges Jonathan to Run Again in 2027

Jibril Mustapha, the president of the Nigeria Rescue Mission Organisation and former leader of the Buhari Youth Organisation (BYO), has called for former President Goodluck Jonathan to run in the 2027 presidential race. Mustapha, in a statement released on Sunday in Lagos, emphasized that Jonathan should seriously consider stepping forward for the presidency once again.

According to Mustapha, as Nigeria prepares for the 2027 elections, it is crucial for all political stakeholders to unite behind a candidate who can truly represent the diverse interests of the nation. He expressed confidence that Jonathan’s return to leadership could offer the unity and stability Nigeria desperately needs.

Mustapha also highlighted the critical issues facing Nigeria, stating, "The nation is at a critical juncture. We are confronting numerous challenges that threaten our progress and peace. What we need is a leader capable of uniting the country and leading it to a prosperous future, regardless of ethnic or regional divides.
