Arnold Schwarzenegger Take on Immigration
During a recent appearance on The View, former California Governor and Hollywood legend Arnold Schwarzenegger surprised the hosts with his candid views on immigration, praising America’s role in his success and stressing the importance of legality.
Schwarzenegger, who immigrated to the U.S. from Austria with nothing, shared his deep gratitude for the opportunities he found in the country.
> “I’m so proud and happy that I was embraced by the American people like that. I came here with absolutely nothing, and built a career—only in America could that happen,” he said.
Rather than criticize immigration enforcement as the hosts may have expected, Schwarzenegger emphasized respect for U.S. laws:
> “The key is doing things legally. If you're a foreigner in America and doing illegal things, that’s not smart. You're a guest—you should act like one.”
He also voiced support for legal immigration, while condemning criminal activity by undocumented individuals.
