APC Chairman Confirms Local Government Elections in Lagos

The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos, Cornelius Ojelabi, has officially announced that local government elections will be held in 20 Local Government Councils and 37 Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs) in the state in 2025. This statement comes in response to concerns and speculations that the elections might not take place across all 57 councils.

Ojelabi described claims suggesting the potential failure of the polls as "misleading distractions." He emphasized the importance of the LCDAs in contributing to the political and socio-economic development of Lagos State. "Our position as a progressive party is that we cannot discountenance the contributions of the LCDAs," he stated.
