American music mogul Shawn "Jay-Z" Carter has been accused in a federal lawsuit of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl in 2000, allegedly alongside Sean “Diddy” Combs.
The anonymous accuser, referred to as "Jane Doe," claims the incident occurred after she was driven to an MTV Video Music Awards after-party.
The lawsuit, originally filed in October in the Southern District of New York, was refiled on December 8 to include Jay-Z as a defendant. The attorney representing the plaintiff, Tony Buzbee, has gained attention for filing multiple lawsuits against Diddy, all involving similar allegations of assault and misconduct, though the identities of the complainants have been kept confidential.
In response to the accusations, Jay-Z issued a statement on X, criticizing Buzbee for what he described as unprofessional behavior and disputing the claims made in the lawsuit.
