Zamfara Governor Raises Alarm as Arrested Bandits Granted Bail Despite Confessions

Governor Dr. Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State has expressed deep concern over the recent release of suspected bandits who had earlier confessed to serious crimes, including murder and possession of advanced weapons.

According to the governor, the suspects admitted to having powerful contacts in Abuja who assured them of freedom before they would even face trial. 

“We arrested the bandits, and they confessed to killing people and possessing sophisticated weapons,” he stated.
