Virgil van Dijk has addressed the swirling rumors about his past transfer saga, making it clear that despite widespread speculation, his heart was always set on joining Liverpool.

“I heard all sorts of stories people saying I had signed elsewhere, that I was in talks with different clubs,” Van Dijk shared. 

“The truth is, negotiations went on until the final month, but we eventually figured it out. For me, there was only ever one destination Liverpool.”
