UK Government Releases List of Unclaimed Estates – 58 Nigerians Included

The UK Government has published an updated list of unclaimed estates, including those of 58 Nigerians who passed away in the UK without any known heirs.

These estates, classified as "Bona Vacantia", have remained unclaimed for a specified period, making them the property of the Crown unless rightful heirs come forward.

According to the March 24 update, a total of 5,806 people from various countries left behind unclaimed assets. The list provides names, birth and death dates, places of death, marital status, and reference numbers for each individual.

Nigerians with potential legal claims can check the full list to see if they are related to any of the deceased and take necessary steps to reclaim the estates.
