Trump Announces Ceasefire Between India and Pakistan After Military Strikes

Former U.S. President Donald Trump has confirmed that India and Pakistan have agreed to a ceasefire, just hours after both countries reported fresh military strikes. 

The two nuclear-armed neighbors had exchanged artillery fire and drone attacks, with tensions escalating following a deadly gun massacre in India, which it blames on Pakistan.

In a post on his social media platform, Truth Social, Trump expressed his satisfaction, writing: "After a long night of talks mediated by the United States, I am pleased to announce that India and Pakistan have agreed to a full and immediate ceasefire. Congratulations to both countries on using common sense and great intelligence. Thank you for your attention to this matter"
