TikToker Murja Kunya Sentenced for Naira Abuse
Popular Kano-based TikTok influencer, Murja Ibrahim Kunya, has been sentenced to six months in prison for the abuse of the Nigerian currency.
However, the Federal High Court in Kano gave her the option of paying a ₦50,000 fine in lieu of jail time.
The verdict was delivered on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, by Justice Simon Amobeda, following a conviction secured by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC)
