This funding represents the net amount received by states to support governance, infrastructure, and development projects across the country.
Leading the list of top beneficiaries is Delta State, which received about ₦361.23 billion. It is followed by Rivers State with ₦301.18 billion, Lagos State with ₦279.03 billion, Akwa Ibom with ₦278.11 billion, and Bayelsa State with ₦274.81 billion. These states, largely oil-producing, continue to receive the highest allocations due to their revenue contributions to the federation account.
Meanwhile, some of the least funded states include Ogun, which received ₦67.20 billion, and Ekiti, with ₦70.83 billion over the seven-month period. These figures highlight the disparity between states with large revenue generating capacities and those with lower fiscal contribution
