Steel Development Minister Audu Commissions AIG's Galvanised Steel Plant

On Tuesday, April 22, 2025, Prince Shuaibu Abubakar Audu, Nigeria’s Minister of Steel Development, inaugurated the Orbit Galvanising Steel Industries Ltd and Orbit Fabrication Works Ltd in Lagos, marking a significant milestone for the African Industries Group (AIG). 

The event was a key part of the Minister’s working visit to Lagos, where he toured various private steel facilities and engaged with industry leaders, reinforcing the Federal Government's commitment to fostering private sector growth in Nigeria’s steel industry.

Prince Audu lauded the plant as a landmark achievement in galvanised and fabricated steel production, commending AIG for its substantial investment in the nation's industrial development.
