Spain Sends Lamine Yamal Back to Barcelona After Surprise Procedure for Groin Injury
Young Barcelona star Lamine Yamal has been released from Spain’s national team camp after undergoing a minor medical procedure earlier in the day to address a persistent groin problem.
According to reports, the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) was unaware of the treatment before Yamal arrived for international duty on Monday evening.
The federation later expressed “surprise” at Barcelona’s failure to communicate the situation but agreed that the player needed between 7 to 10 days of rest.
As a result, Yamal has been permitted to return to Barcelona to continue his recovery, with both the club and the national team prioritizing his long-term fitness amid a demanding season
