Senate President Akpabio Lauds FCT Minister Wike Amid Demolition Controversy

Senate President Godswill Akpabio has praised the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, calling him a "man of peace" despite the backlash over ongoing demolitions in Abuja. 

Akpabio humorously reflected on Wike's temperament, noting, "I do not know why a man will quarrel with Wike. If he shouts while we are sitting there, by the time I get to that door, he has forgotten." His remarks elicited laughter from the audience, showcasing a camaraderie between the two.

Wike, in response to the criticism he has faced, reaffirmed his confidence in his actions and the support of President Bola Tinubu. "If you know what you want to do, and you know how you want to do it, then go ahead," he stated, emphasizing his commitment to the capital's development.
