Samson Siasia Alleges He Was Offered €50,000 Bribe to Include Mikel Obi in 2008 Olympics Squad

Former Super Eagles coach Samson Siasia has made a startling claim, alleging that the agent of Nigerian footballer Mikel Obi once offered him a €50,000 bribe to secure the player’s spot in the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games squad.

According to Siasia, the offer was made with the intention of influencing team selection ahead of the tournament. 

Speaking in a recent interview, he said: 

“His agent said he would give me €50,000 just so he could come and play…”
