Rufai Oseni and Reuben Abati React to Wike-Fubara Reconciliation: "A Deal Driven by Power and Pressure"

During a recent discussion, Rufai Oseni and Reuben Abati offered critical perspectives on the reported reconciliation between Nyesom Wike and Governor Fubara.

Rufai Oseni argued that at the core of the conflict was a battle over control of the state’s resources, suggesting that the reconciliation only came after Fubara was heavily pressured into submission.

"From the beginning, this fight was about the control of state resources. Now, they’ve successfully arm-twisted Fubara," Rufai stated.

Reuben Abati, on the other hand, described the outcome as nothing short of an unconditional surrender by Fubara, labeling it an act of cowardice.

"Fubara’s action was a complete surrender. He gave up without any resistance. What we’d like to know now is the full list of the terms and conditions attached to that surrender," Abati remarked.
