President Tinubu Pushes for Peace in Benue

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has called on security chiefs to enforce his previous directives and stressed the need for reconciliation initiatives under the leadership of Benue State Governor Hyacinth Alia.

President Tinubu also encouraged Governor Alia to bring together stakeholders from the affected communities for peace talks, in a bid to ease tensions and foster unity among farmers, herders, and locals in conflict-prone areas.

While denouncing the ongoing violence, President Tinubu described the attacks as needless and harmful, stating that community and political leaders should avoid fueling further discord through incendiary comments.

“The reports of continued bloodshed in Benue are deeply troubling. We cannot allow these attacks to carry on without a strong response. Enough is enough,” President Tinubu sai
