President Bola Tinubu has committed to completing the 284-kilometer rail line from Kano to Maradi by 2026, a project designed to improve transportation and reduce road congestion.
Speaking in Katsina during the inauguration of the state's Agricultural Mechanisation Centre and the newly constructed 24-kilometer Eastern Bypass, Tinubu outlined the government's plans to enhance infrastructure.
"The Federal Government plans to finish the Kano-Jigawa-Katsina-Maradi rail project by 2026," Tinubu stated. "Once completed, the rail line will significantly ease the movement of people and goods, reducing pressure on our roads."
