President Tinubu Approves New Governing Council Members for Nigerian Universities
President Bola Tinubu has given the green light to the appointment of new members to the governing councils of three prominent Nigerian universities: the University of Abuja (UNIABUJA), the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), and Nnamdi Azikiwe University (NAU), Awka.
For UNIABUJA, the new council members include Professor Rosemary Iriowen Egonmwan representing the South South region, Dr. Adedeji Adefuye from the South West, Professor Sarki Abba Abdulkadir from the North West, and Professor Aminu Mohammed Dukku representing the North East.
Their diverse regional representation is expected to bring a broad perspective to the university’s governance.
At the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Rt. Honorable Barrister Ogbonna Eugene Odo from the South East and Muhammad Inuwa Tahir, mni, from the North West have been appointed to the governing council.
