President Tinubu Approves Group Life Assurance for Federal Employees, Extending Coverage to High-Level Officials

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has authorized the implementation of a Group Life Assurance program aimed at providing financial support to the families of federal public servants who pass away, including those in high-ranking government roles.

During a press briefing at the State House in Abuja, Mrs. Didi Walson-Jack, the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, revealed the decision following a Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting. 

She explained that the program, which will take effect for the 2025/2026 policy year, is designed to assist the families of deceased federal employees, from civil servants to top government officials.
